Summer is a season of passion and hope. In this vibrant time, Xiechang Environmental Protection has stepped forward to sow the seeds of love, bringing warmth and hope to children in need and harvesting their innocent smiles.
There is a group of special children who cannot hear the birds chirping or express their feelings in words. Like “angels with broken wings,” they are often lonely and sensitive, requiring extra care and support. Recently, the “Child Companion Program”—a disability assistance initiative—was officially launched at the Suzhou School for the Blind and Deaf.
The program was jointly organized by the Municipal Disabled Persons’ Federation, the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, and the Municipal Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. Key initiators included Haoxing Suzhou, Xiechang Environmental Protection (an overseas Chinese-funded enterprise), Jiangsu Mingren Law Firm, and China Merchants Bank (Suzhou Branch).
Distinguished guests attending the ceremony included Ms. Huang Leilei, Vice Chairperson of the Municipal Disabled Persons’ Federation; Mr. Zhang Junsen from the Municipal Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese; and Ms. Liu Jin, General Manager of Suzhou Xiechang Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., alongside other leaders from participating enterprises.
A Voice for Public Welfare
During the ceremony, Ms. Liu Jin delivered a speech on behalf of the sponsoring enterprises. She expressed her profound honor in participating in the “Child Companion Program” and extended heartfelt gratitude to the Suzhou Disabled Persons’ Federation on behalf of the Suzhou Overseas Chinese Business Association.
Following the ceremony, the children, wearing orange caps sponsored by Xiechang Environmental Protection, embarked on their first “Museum Tour.” Commemorating the centenary of the CPC, this journey included visits to the Revolutionary Museum, Wuzhong Museum, and Imperial Kiln Brick Museum. This initiative provided more than just companionship; it offered an educational experience that expanded the children’s horizons.
While the children enjoyed their journey, Ms. Liu Jin and other guests toured the Suzhou School for the Blind and Deaf to gain a deeper understanding of the students’ learning and living environments.
Environmentalism as a Public Service
As a specialized and innovative enterprise in the field of air pollution control and environmental protection equipment, Xiechang Environmental Protection has long been dedicated to the “Battle for Blue Skies.”
Ms. Liu Jin emphasized that environmental protection is not just a profession, but a noble public welfare undertaking that benefits both the country and the people. “Giving roses to others leaves a lingering fragrance in your own hands,” she remarked, highlighting that participating in charity is a source of joy. While leading Xiechang to success in the environmental industry, Ms. Liu Jin remains committed to active participation in social responsibility and public welfare activities.
