1. How do I choose the right filter material for an Asphalt Plant?
Asphalt plants typically produce high-temperature and humid exhaust gases ranging from 150°C to 200°C. Xiechang® recommends using Nomex (Aramid) or PTFE-coated media. Nomex offers excellent thermal stability and abrasion resistance, while PTFE finishes help prevent sticky dust adhesion.
2. What is "Bag Blinding" and how can it be prevented?
Bag blinding occurs when dust particles become trapped inside the media pores instead of forming a removable dust cake on the surface. This results in increased differential pressure and reduced airflow. Using Xiechang® bags with PTFE membrane or oleophobic treatment significantly reduces the risk of blinding.
